On September 29th over 170 Leadership Jacksonville alumni gathered at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront to reconnect and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Youth Leadership Jacksonville for our annual Reunion Lunch. As usual, it took some effort to herd the crowd into the dining room as folks were so enjoying their conversations.
During the event two outstanding leaders in our community were inducted as Honorary members in Leadership Jacksonville. They are Gary Chartrand, Chairman of Acosta, Inc. and Deborah Gianoulis Heald, former anchor Channel 4 News, but both are leaders in improving education. Mr. Chartrand founded the Chartrand Foundation and Ms. Heald is a leader with Save Duval Schools and Episcopal Children’s Services.
Speaker for the event was Trey Csar, the new President of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund.
Mark your calendars: Reunion Luncheon 2010 will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2010.

GO JAGUARS! LEADERSHIP JACKSONVILLE LOVES YOU!
October 18, 2009, Leadership Jacksonville alums witnessed the Jaguars defeat the St. Louis Rams. That was a great moment on a beautiful Jacksonville day. Nearly eighty Leadership Jacksonville members and their guests came together for a Pre-Game Party at River City Brewing Company. Following a tail-gate spread and drawings for gifts including a football signed by David Garrard, the partiers boarded the River Taxi and cruised across the river to the stadium for the game.
This was a fantastic event and is expected to be repeated on an annual basis.
Photos from the event are in the Photo Gallery on this website.
