Leadership Jacksonville educates established and emerging leaders about our community’s key issues, connects program participants with a vibrant and diverse network of leaders and community partners inspiring participants to build and strengthen their communities.

Leadership Jacksonville’s programs explore the dynamics of Jacksonville, analyzing major areas of concern, facilitating the development of leadership capacities and promoting a strong network of community trustees.

The programs cover topics including in depth reviews of Jacksonville history, local government and political insight, economic development, business outlook, technology growth, local education, environmental sustainability, arts, infrastructure, poverty, growth forecast, health care issues and much more. All programs are developed and shaped by teams of Leadership Jacksonville alumni and staff.

Leadership Jacksonville conducts four major programs each year:

Leadership Jacksonville

(Open to approximately 56 participants per year)

Leadership Jacksonville is a yearlong program that challenges adult leaders from diverse sectors of the community to develop a heightened understanding of our community’s key issues and how they can work together to improve them.

New Leadership Summit

(Open by invitation to up to 20 participants per year)

The New Leadership Summit is a unique program targeted for CEOs and Senior Level Executives who are new or relatively new to the community.  During this two day orientation program, participants hear from and interact with key leaders of the community to learn about the assets, issues, institutions, and leadership of the region.

Next Generation

(Open to approximately 36 students per year)

Next Generation (formerly known as Collegiate Leadership Experience) is a summer program that seeks to encourage rising leaders to invest their lives and careers in Northeast Florida. The program is open to college or graduate school students or those who have graduated within the past two years and are under age 30 at the time of participation.

Youth Leadership Jacksonville

(Open to approximately 54 students per year)

Youth Leadership Jacksonville is a program for high school students with demonstrated leadership ability from SACS accredited high schools in Baker, Clay, Duval and St. Johns counties. Over the eight month course the program prepares the participants to become ethical leaders, committed to active community involvement. Candidate applications for the program are submitted through participating high schools.
