Jacksonville Legacy Series

The Jacksonville Legacy Series was a non-profit initiative, created by Leadership Jacksonville to document and preserve the thoughts and ideas of the region’s most prominent leaders who have positively impacted the First Coast community.

Produced by Lindsey Films, the series of video conversations with Jacksonville leaders aired on WJCT. Each installment of the series is available for viewing on the WJCT website, Leadership Jacksonville’s website and YouTube Channel.

Lessons in Leadership

 

The videos feature:

  • Dr. Frances B. Kinne: Funded by Jacksonville University, Dr. Kinne is the first woman president of a Florida university. This segment aired on WJCT in November, 2012.
  • Alton W. Yates: Community leader and civil rights activist. This video aired on WJCT in February, 2013.
  • The Honorable Frederick H. Schultz: This video is a tribute to Mr. Schultz and was made possible by funds from a grant from The Schultz Foundation and aired in April, 2013.
  • Robert T. Shircliff: A successful business, civic, philanthropic, religious, and volunteer leader in Jacksonville, Mr. Shircliff’s video aired on WJCT in October, 2013.
  • Delores Barr Weaver: A local philanthropist and champion for the disadvantaged, this segment aired on WJCT in January, 2014.
  • The Honorable Jake Godbold: The mayor of Jacksonville from 1978-1987, this video highlights his political career and aired in September, 2014.
