Leadership Jacksonville (LJ) Application Process
The LJ program consists of an opening reception, opening dinner, nine (9) full day programs, and two retreats. The retreats are two days long and involve an overnight stay. Participation in the program requires a commitment to attend ALL program events in their entirety. Participants are required to obtain the advance support of their employer (where applicable) to attend all program events. In addition, graduates of the program are expected to sustain continued support for both the Jacksonville community and Leadership Jacksonville.
LJ actively solicits applications for this program from all sectors of the community. Selection for each year’s class is highly competitive. Criteria for selection include demonstrated or emerging leadership skills, active involvement in the community and a willingness to invest the time and energy required by the program. Selection is done by a committee of alumni volunteers through an evaluation of the nomination, completed application and interview (if selected for interview).
Tuition for the program is $4,500. Financial assistance is available if payment of the full tuition would prevent participation in the program. Decisions on assistance are made based on financial need utilizing family income and are confidential. Applications for assistance are made available after the selection process is complete.
A complete application consists of:
1) submission of the online application
2) a nonrefundable $25 application fee payable to Leadership Jacksonville.
Only complete applications will be reviewed by the Selection Committee. It is advised that applicants begin the application well in advance of the deadline. Do not submit letters of recommendation, resumes or any additional materials.
The deadline for the application and fee is January 25, 2023. Applications will not be accepted after this date and will reopen next year. To begin the application form, please create an account below.
